Yes, people in Richmond are very kind.

I've seen many middle-aged women with glasses, long brown hair in Richmond! But I cannot remember a black pocketbook and a german sheperd dog!!
When I was in the US I was surprised about all the older ladies having loads of make-up and people with plastic on their sofa's to protect them against people sitting on them! People were very enthousiastic and very very kind to me.
Had a great time.

That must have been 1972. I was staying with a friend in Richmond VA. And the president of the US just declared Richmond a disaster area because of the floods. The centre of the town was closed and we didn't have drinking water for a couple of days. I stayed with Christy and her parents for about 4 weeks and we went to Washington DC, New York, Los Angeles and San Fransisco together.
I got to know her from a student exchange when I was still living with my parents. She asked me to come to Richmond after she left. I'm so glad I did go.
Had a great time in the US. Seen alot too! Got my drivers license there.
